If you are like me, then you have a collection of weird hobbies that you either love or hate. Whether they are fun dangerous or both, they have fascinated and attracted me for as long as I can remember. Some are easier to find than others, though. Some hobbies make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and some seem to only exist in the minds of people with crazy imaginations. Let’s start with a few of the most popular but odd hobbies out there. One of the strangest hobbies I have been an obsessive compulsive disorder type of hobby. It is strange to think of myself this way, but I do have strange hobbies. Some of these include: Gardening It is hard to imagine someone with a severe case of acne not growing their own herbs. Not only is it weird, it is a good hobby. If you are able to grow your own herbs, then you will save yourself a lot of aggravation when it comes time to go to the grocery store. What’s more, you will save money by not buying things like milk additives, stabilizers, artificial flavorings and preservatives. Billiards This one might sound ridiculous, but some people actually make a living off of playing billiards. Of course, not everyone has access to a huge, plush, wood-venerated place to play. Many billiards tables are now designed so the balls actually bounce off the table. That’s one cool aspect. Another cool aspect is all the accessories and balls that have been designed to make playing billiards even more fun and realistic. There are even remote control guns! Rock climbing OK, this one actually has some logic behind it. As cool as it might be to look at a person scaling a giant mountain, it actually has some merit. There are actually some people who make a living as climbers. Not all of them are professional mountaineers, by the way. Some more of these weird hobbies are definitely going to be on your list. Just remember, you don’t have to spend a fortune in order to indulge in these activities. All it takes is a little bit of research and you should be able to find a hobby that you can get involved with that doesn’t require you to break the bank. Just make sure that whatever you choose, you’re very careful about getting involved with. Like with anything, there are both good and bad hobbies. Don’t get into things that you’re not sure about. Just because it’s your friend’s idea of a great hobby doesn’t mean it’s going to be good for you. You should do some research beforehand to see if what you’re doing is something that you can handle. Some other ideas for weird hobbies include things like medical blogging, which involves writing about medical issues and discussing them with other like-minded folks. Another popular one is ballooning. This is a very exciting hobby that can also be incredibly dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. There are also things like ancient arts and crafts, such as making an artistic ceramic item or something similar. There are all sorts of possibilities out there, so if you think you’ve got what it takes then go for it! Who knows, you may become the next famousomer of some kind. You can also buy stamps online to create your own stamps. If this interests you, be sure to read up on how to do it so you know exactly what you’re doing. Once again, be safe and have fun while you’re at it. Don’t try to jump into everything at once or you’ll end up being frustrated. It’s best to start out small, such as a kit for kids or something else. That way if you ever get overwhelmed, you won’t be jumping from one thing to another. If you’re looking for a strange hobby that you can join in on with other people, there are a lot of options out there. The Internet is a great place to find them. You can also find a lot of these weird hobbies in bookstores or newsstands in most cities or towns. If all else fails, just head down to your local library and you should be able to find a few good books on weird things. So there you have it. Those are some of the most popular and weird hobbies out there. Have fun with whatever you choose and enjoy your newfound sense of style and oddness.
